A provisional date for your diaries – Saturday 26th June 2021.
A very warm invitation is extended to the residents, families and friends of Burton Village to come along to an ‘Open Gardens’ event:
Resident Tess Olley has come up with a great idea to host the event within the village, something she has been involved with previously in other villages, and thought it would be something our community would like to participate in.
Already we have very kindly been offered a small number of gardens for our event (we would like a few more), each offering a very different experience, an opportunity to look deeper into the gardens which are hidden from normal views, and to meet residents, particularly for those families who have just moved into the village and to say hello !
The plan is to have a small donation fee of £5 per adult for a ticket which will be available for sale on the day from a designated start point. The donations will be evenly split between St Mary’s Church and Burton Community Association.
The plan also includes having a designated parking area for visitors, a refreshment area(s) and plants for sale stall.
We are hopeful that on the day the weather will be warm, dry and sunny, however should the weather be particularly inclement then a plan to move the event to the following day (Sunday 27th June) may be used as an alternative.
More details will be circulated once we have them.
